Press Release: a New Product at Fine Sheetz Adventures!
After three years of collaboration with Backroads Active Travel Company (www.backroads.com), Fine Sheetz Adventures is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its first Biking Adventure!Biking Adventures strengthen and continue the Fine Sheetz mission of offering quality and enriching experiences through unscripted adventures. Fine Sheetz takes care of all the details ahead of time through careful planning, but leaves you with all the options "in the moment." In this way, your experience is unmodified and untempered, but therefore can also have some unpredictables. So although you may be camping, you have the opportunity to have a Fine quality experience as well as a little Adventure, all while focusing on having fun with good people. Fine Sheetz carefully screens its clients to try to achieve the most fun, interesting, and varied group of travellers.
This new product joins Fine Sheetz other three services of Camping Adventures, City Explorations, and Cultural Dinners. "We are very excited to bring this new international element to our previous domestic products," said Dmitri Arkush, the International Manager. "The first Cultural Dinner, last December, was such an unanticipated success that we thought we could take this cultural element to a new level. It is exciting to show some one new ways of seeing a familiar place or terrain, as our Camping Adventures and City Explorations focus on, but it is even more engaging to show folks new ways of seeing the world we live in. We feel there are not much better ways to do this than by bicycle."
Currently this line of services, along with the Fine Sheetz City Explorations are offered on a custom basis only, though the management is in talks with Slovak, Czech and Ukrainian representatives for a more permanent product line, announced Jan Zishka, the new head of marketing.
Camping Adventures are usually stationary weekend events that focus on enjoying nearby hiking, sailing, diving, and/or canoeing in protected Florida wilderness. They feature signature Fine Sheetz menus which always focus on fresh, healthy and flavorful dishes cooked in camp. Camping Adventures have been taken "on the road" previously with campsites being strung along hiking or canoeing trails, as well as visiting sites in Georgia and California's Yosemite National Park.
City Explorations are offered in the Florida Keys; Philadelphia; Washington, DC; Tallahassee, FL; Florence, Italy; Drohobych, Ukraine; and Krakow, Poland. Although City Explorations also have a great focus on food, it is discovering small, regional restaurants that are known for signature dishes and special cuisine styles. City Explorations can involve some active elements, but center more on cultural and musical events, taking in local events, museums and cultural sites. City Explorations connect the history, religion, music and cuisine into a true sense of "place". Giovanni Lenzuola, head of Finance, said that Fine Sheetz is exploring starting Explorations in Savanah, GA; Charleston, SC; Atlanta, GA; St. Augustine, FL; New Orleans, LA; and Cesky Krumlov, Czech. Fine Sheetz would love to book you for dates at any of these locations.
Cultural Dinners bring this exploration "home" in an intimate way. Through a four course dinner with a group of about 15 new friends around one table, Fine Sheetz introduces you to the culture and cuisine of a region in the world. We like to season the dinner with a bit of history and customs, as well as some of the local specialty in spirits. The first dinner was a Ukrainian feast full of kanapky, pumpkin, dill and buckwheat along with plenty of vodka, or as the Ukrainians say, horilka - the little fire. But no smiles - at least not for the camera, in the true Ukrainian way.

oooo! i've been to the keys once... but ever so long ago. and it was a kind of terrible trip. alas!
maybe this time we can actually see each other when you are here?
Let me know when you're back in FL. We're still in Jupiter.
Also, i've taken up cycling as part of triathlon training, so one of these days I think i'm going to have to do an international cycling adventure. Think I missed season in Europe for this year tho.
