PC Reading List
So I have finished training and am just hanging out in Provence. It is wonderful. It is really the first vacation with no responsibility that I have had in over a year. Your votes have been tallied and I will keep the blog. I will change the name after I finish publishing the blogs that I first penned while in Ukraine. I will title them from now on as Reminisces. I think there will be about 5 of them. For today I have compiled a reading list:
Books that will help you understand the Peace Corps Experience:
Ugly American
Piano shop on the West Bank
Art of War
www.PeaceCorpsWriters.org
Books that will help you understand MY Peace Corps experience:
Catch 22 (for its personality, dilemma, and irony)
Poland (because I lived in the territory of this books setting)
Dune (for the integration that I sought)
The Death and Life of the Great American City (for who I tried to be)
I keep going back and forth on Tao Te Ching. If you are in the right mindset, it can offer a lot about the Peace Corps experience, but if you are in that frame of mind, it will probably offer you a lot on life.

Hi John,
Glad you are continuing the blog. I have tried many times to comment and never could, it seems my luck may change. Hope all is well and that you will enjoy your new job in Italy.
This is not a comment, but news. Peter graduated from Johnson and Wales, is going to work in the Hamptons on Long Island. Ms. Scipone says hello to you.
Elisa also graduated and is going to UF to study Math. Joey Munoz is engaged, so is Jenn McKeich in case you did not know.
Glad to hear that you have decided to keep you blog! Erin starts her bike trip across America tomorrow...what are the odds...maybe we can come take a tour with you after I get back from deployment!
My best to you,
Patrick
