Ireland

I just had an amazing adventure with the incredible Bekkah!

We drove over 1500 km (on the left!); I impressed her with my manual transmission driving and parallel parking; we consumed 10 maps, countless pints of guiness and smithwicks (pronounced smit-ticks); we saw national Parks, gorgeous waterfalls, world heritage sites, abbeys, castles, and prehistoric stone circles.

And we got rained on... a lot. As an indication, my drive across the island to the airport this morning was my first time in the week getting bugs on the windshield! The locals complained that this is one of the worst summers in memory. We met several in the pubs and shared a lot of great live music with them, complete with violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo, squeeze box and tin whistles in D. And I ran into an Irish friend that I haven't seen in 6 years. It was all unbelievable and magical. We kept thinking we were seeing leperchauns amongst the plentiful shamrocks!
