*Where have I been recently? To see mermaids and monkeys in Central Florida. To see exposed Cypress trees in Cascades Lake. (last time I posted: working in Thailand, visiting friends in Cambodia and Taiwan, seeing Angkor Wat, and touring Taipei with Bekkah) actually, camping in Central Florida; taking foster son to GA aquarium. **Where am I now? In Tallahassee: working, gardening, parenting. ***Where am I going? To speak at conferences in Florida.

i completely agree! pretty fantastic to be welcomed home like that.
in high school, when i came back from a trip overseas, my friend organized a welcome back party at the airport. as i came out of the airplane, disheveled, my friends were holding gigantic posters with letters spelling out "KIM IS MY IDOL" (it was an inside joke).
it was the best feeling in the world, especially since that trip kind of sucked - i was self conscious and young AND the others on the trip were entitled assholes from richie-rich naples.
