plans and updated wishlist

Just so you all know, like Sando, you are always welcome. In the summer, probably around the fourth of July, my family will be coming and we will be visiting parts of Hungary, Ukraine, and Russia; details are pending.

Also, I am home right now for a week because Joanne Keller's wedding was last weekend. So if anyone is around South Florida, I would love to meet up.

With all these trips, I am not really aloud to leave the country anymore, so I may not be able to travel with you, but inside the Ukraine you have a happy, helpful, excited and waiting host and translator. Most of Ukraine isn't made for tourists yet, but it is great fun for the adventurous, and you don't need a visa to come. Give it some thought.

Also between Jason, and my trip home, my wishlist has greatly shrunk, but here it is currently, and I promise I wll be better at getting my addresse to you (again, Peace Corps doesn't want us to post it for security reasons)

The Seattle Fish Company "Fish Philosophy" DVD
Fantasia DVD, original and/or 2000
Litmus Paper
Whoopie Cushions (particularly but other gag gifts are good too, or even a Klutz company catalogue)
Traditional American Music (for beginning players of piano or other
instruments)
sweet potato and Yukon Gold potato seeds/eyes (not sure you can legally mail this)
collapsible cup
ET movie
waxed string (easier for little fingers to make dream catchers)
Cranium
a (500-1000 piece) puzzle

I read your blog about Christmas and your loneliness made me cry. I shared with my assistant because I was crying when she walked in the office and had to explain, though she knows that I cry very easily. Still, I am so glad you found fellowship when you needed it. We tend to do that if we do as you did - look around. Too many times when times are rough we get tunnel vision and focus only on ourselves. Looking around will either give us new ideas, help us find solutions, or just let us know that we aren't as bad off as we think. Thanks for reminding me of that!

Hey John Sheetz! Check me out; I'm reading your blog. Next time we speak I'll already know everything you say and I'll have no questions to ask you...except why you want waxed string.
